Message | An odd mix of criminalising some marriages while making it harder to detect real crime and forcing people to work longer |
Date | 21:08:37, April 20, 2009 CET | From | Urban Party of Kirlawa | To | Debating the Agenda 2744 : Civil Liberties |
Message | This bill restricts some of the civil liberties that the people in this nation enjoy. When it comes to civil liberties, Kirlawa is a world leader and a bill that takes away liberties makes the nation look bad. We vote 'no' and hope other parties that value civil rights and liberties do the same. |
Date | 21:32:11, April 20, 2009 CET | From | Gluaiseacht Shaoráil DhaonlathachIt | To | Debating the Agenda 2744 : Civil Liberties |
Message | We agree that our nation is an example to the Terra and this bill proves it. However, we do believe that polygamous relationships are a menace to women's rights. In fact, art. 3 are protecting civil liberties as well. To the article concerning the retirement age is less odd than it seems. This part of this bill increases the possibilities of our elderly to work longer and as such give them more rights. |
Date | 21:42:54, April 20, 2009 CET | From | Kirlawan National Party (Leftists) | To | Debating the Agenda 2744 : Civil Liberties |
Message | No, raising the retirement age means that those who want to retire at 60 will not get a state pension when they do. People are still allowed to work longer if they wish, they just have the option of getting a state pension at 60. That is what the retirement age is for. All you are doing is making it nigh on impossible for people who, out of their own liberal free will, want to retire at 60. As such, you restrict the liberty of 60-65 year olds to retire. Liberal? No, Fascist, in making people work to the point of exhaustion? Yes. |
Date | 22:05:48, April 20, 2009 CET | From | Urban Party of Kirlawa | To | Debating the Agenda 2744 : Civil Liberties |
Message | To the DFM, we agree that polygamous relationships are against womens rights and would vote for article 3 if it were in its own bill. |
