Message | The REP is firm believer of devolution. We are proud that Rutania is a country where the regions have extensive rights of decision making. A central government is not capable of addressing all the different issues of the different regions. We strongly oppose any kind of centralization and interventionism. Victoria von Bruckenthal, Prime-Minister |

Message | What we must do is ensure that SOME powers are made on a central basis. How confusing can it be when in one region someone is allowed to take as much drugs as he wishes, while in the next one it is a blackmarket, illegal? Why make a women in INCREDIBLE pain suffer in one region, while the next gets cannabis as she needs it? I am NOT against devolution, I simply believe some issues MUST be decided on a central basis. Message | Please do not shout in the Federal Parliament. Yes some issues should be decided centrally, but these decision should establish a framework in which particular decisions are made by regional governments. The central government provides a democratic framework with rule of law, and efficient but not abusive (i.e. lacking abusive surveillance mechanisms.). In particular policy issues like the ones highlighted by the SDU the regional differences must be taken into account. These differences express the will of the people. For example the population of Delvar favour the policies of the RHP, that is anti-abortion. The situation is different in Kragusrov, dominated by the PSLM or in Ardinia dominated by us. So why should we force a unitary policy on the people when they can decide for themselves. That is why the Federal Parliament is a "framework-making" and sovereignty-defending institution where all the regions are represented equally regardless of size and population. In this way we ensure that policy decisions are made on local level and the Federal Parliament represents the entity of the Commonwealth that is the state-framework. |

Message | But as my point says indeed above, such issues must be universal. It is not right to have these different rules for different areas, we need a single rule for all, that way all is fair. |

Message | "It is important that a certain level of unity and universal care and services is kept across the nation". This is a broad, vacuous statement. To what end is 'unity' important? The SDU is merely calling centralization imperative as a pretext for usurping local government authority, thereby concentrating and increasing federal government power. The underlying reason that the SDU wants to achieve this is clear - they want to impose their ideological will on the populace, demanding absolute uniformity to ensure that no region is left capable of deviating from this leftist orthodoxy. We oppose this legislation and all others that aim to arbitrarily concentrate federal government power. |

Message | To the humanist alliance We are willing to take out article three, concerning child benefits, but believe strongly the issue of drugs MUST be settled on a national basis, as conflicting laws among different regions could cause problems. SDU |

Message | We are not fully agree with article 4, but it is not so important for us. After some doubts we decided to vote for this bill. |
