Bill: Party Organisations of Beluzia

Details

Submitted by[?]: Partisans And Artisans League

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill is a resolution. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: July 2193

Description[?]:

The following is a legal document providing a brief description of the most prominent youth and militant organisations within Beluzia and the political parties - if any - that they are connected to.

The PYS - People's Youth Squad

The Peoples Youth consists almost entirely of an endless supply of children, who drill endlessly under the supervision of retired special forces officers. They are much like the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hitlerjugend HitlerJugend] or [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturmabteilung Sturmabteilung], and their primary duty is to struggle against Political and Thought criminals with Bullhorn and Tazerbaton. When reports of suspicious activities, social crimes, or anti-Beluzian sassmouth are recieved, the Peoples Youth Squad is only a phone call away!

Beluzia's betrayers have come to fear the rythmic lockstep march of jackboots, waiting for the moment when it breaks into a battle charge. Our Bullhorns are their constant reminder that we are Beluzia, we ARE the People!

Those in contridiction of Populist values, inclined to betray the People, or accused of voting the wrong way in the elections are deemed to be suffering from an extreme case of [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castor_oil castor oil] deficiency!

In this manner they daily struggle against their Communist Betrayer.

The BWA - Beluzian Workers Army

The Beluzian Workers Army is the unofficial paramilitary wing of the Socialist Revolutionaries. Established in 2090 as the 'Peoples Defence League', it began as a vigilante group in inner cities areas. The Peoples Defence League were involved in violent clashes with far-right groups and police.

In 2100 the Peoples Defence League changed their name to the Beluzian Workers Army and were involved in a short campaign against the Beluzian government, aiming to replace it with a 'dictatorship of the proletariat'. The BWA took a number of small towns in Bailon, where they had most support. There were around 10,000 members of the BWA involved.

Government forces soon defeated the BWA, killing around 2000 men before a ceasefire was called. The BWA returned to their vigilante role, but maintained several camps around Beluzia.

It is said by many that the BWA had a major role in establishing the Socialist Revolutionaries, and have actively campaigned for them since their establishment. They also have strong links with the General Workers Union, acting as 'protection' at many marches and strikes.

The Beluzian Workers Army continue to struggle, politically and military, against the forces of imperialism and capitalism within Beluzia.

The PRA - People's Republican Army

The PRA is a militant wing which stands for the Imperial expansion of the Buluzian Republic. It stands to create a permanent monarch to head the Republic. It stands to sweep out opposing forces especially in Rutania.

The PRA is based in Iliathar with an HQ is Calpicosa. It has strong presence along the border and gained international attention when a few thousand members crossed into the Rutanian border and seiged a small border town before returning and killing the Rutanian border gaurds. While its political affiliation is to the BCP it works closely with other anti-Rutanian pro-Monarch and pro-Imperialist organisations. It's political platform is connected with the BCP of social moderation and fiscal Conservatism.

The RA - Republican Army

The Republican Army is the successor to a highly secret organization named the Obsidian Order. The Obsidian Order was formed in 2080 to thwart any attempts by the PYS to terrorize Beluzia, for many years it succeeded by their target, and diverting important resources and people to groups that would be less effective. In late 2128, the Obsidian Order officially ended, and the leaders formed the Republican Army.

The Republican Army is composed of people of every religious belief, ethnicity, and gender/sexual orientation. The official goal of the Republican Army is to oppose the PYS and other organizations who are trying to destroy Beluzia.

Although the true number is unknown, thousands of people are involved in defending Beluzia from both the far right and far left organizations, which wish to change Beluzia for the Worst.

The MRS – Manta Ray Squadron

The MRS was founded by the former leader of the Partisans and Artisans League, Dick Tattor. During a horrendous batch of pirate raids on Beluzian shipping, Tattor decided to use his personal fortune to fund a private navy with the specific purpose of hunting down and destroying pirate vessels. The controversial idea of the a private army or navy has always been a problem with the leadership of the MRS due to questions of legality. The MRS was forced underground when violent clashes broke out between the PYS and government forces. The PYS had long been a judge of public opinion concerning non-government armed forces, so when the PYS was branded illegal, the future of the MRS looked bleak. However during the years of PYS suppression, a desperate Bailonese government secretly turned to the Squadron to deal with the ever increasing pirate problem off its shore. The busy shipping route has drawn pirates from around the globe. However this has only increased the resolve and strength of MRS forces which are unofficially estimated at three-thousand. As long as the Straits of Bailon remain a flash point for naval combat, the future of MRS looks secure.

The MRS has received official backing of the PAL and is funded largely by PAL members. At a last count the squadron maintained five ex-coastguard frigates, around fifteen small gunships and four helicopters.

The Haven Trust

After the Beluzian government turned down PAL attempts to bring an end to prostitution, several Bailon MPs resigned and set up the Haven Trust. It is based on the PALs strategy of prostitute rehabilitation, and focuses on encouraging and giving financial help to prostitutes wishing to begin a new life and career. Due to limited funding the Haven Trust has focused efforts on the coastal towns of Parlos Decina, where prostitution is widespread. The Trust has been involved in legal battles with the regional council over allegations of Customs officials turning a blind eye to traffickers bringing prostitutes into the country from surrounding nations. The majority of trust members have remained loyal to the PAL, however in a recent ballot of members, 37% voted in favour of withdrawing from the PALs “Loyal Factions”. Many members have raised serious concerns about the work of Partza and were particularly outraged when they found that a senior member of Partza was imprisoned on human trafficking and slavery charges.

The Partza

The Partza was founded in 2036 after sustained attacks on 'the Palace', the headquarters of the PAL. Due to a severe distrust between different factions within the PAL - most noticeably UPAL and the 'old column' - the leadership of the PAL decided that action needed to be taken to stabilise the party. The creation of the Partza therefore, served two purposes - to provide a distraction from infighting and to provide a strong security service. The Partza has stated that in times of war it would not hesitate to join mainstream Beluzian forces and fight for the defence of the nation. However, in peace times it is commited to directives set out by the the PAL leadership: the security of the Palace and PAL ministers when they travel; involvement in youth programs and the "Patriot Scheme".

The "Patriot Scheme" is a deliberately hazy agreement between the Partza and the PAL whereby the Partza has been allowed to be involved in the training and weapons supply of foreign fighters without the official permission or condemnation of the the PAL. This has led to claims of that the Partza is a money-spinning mercenary organisation, which has been denied by the PAL. Membership of the Partza has been been estimated at anywhere between a thousand and as much as ten thousand, but as members are all volunteers and unpaid the Partza refuses to publish exact figures. However, the most important aspect of the Partza mambers, lies not with present members but with the youth. Focusing on the training of children and teenagers, there are now tens of thousands of young people who appear to throw their support behind the PAL, and as long as they remain, the future of the Partza seems secure.

The PNB - People's Nationalist Brigade

Formed in Parlos Decina by a group of fanatical BNP supporters. They wish to reinstate the Imperial rule in Beluzia, promote nationalist goals among others. They've been known to be aggresive agaisnt those who denounce the Imperialist of the nation. They've recently conducted raids in Negunia and joint assaults with the PRA on Rutanian targets.

Random fact: Players consent to the reasonable and predictable consequences of the role-play they consent to. For example, players who role-play their characters as committing criminal offences should expect those characters to experience the predictable judicial consequences of that.

Random quote: "The true revolutionary is guided by great feelings of love. It is impossible to think of a genuine revolutionary lacking this quality." - Che Guevara
