Centrist Manifesto Part Four - Health Legislation ---------------------------- Public Health Care: Administered by the Vanukese Public Health Services (VPHS), the public health care system shall run side by side with private health care institutions. It shall be entirely free, however hospitals and clinics are not forbidden to request voluntary contributions to assist with the maintainence of the system. Pharmaceutical Drug Subsidy (PDS): For the sake of the PDS legislation, a 'low income earner' is any adult citizen who earns $29,999 or less. Any low income earner shall receive a rebate of 30% for any pharmaceutical drug purchases, when receipts and proof of income are presented to the VPHS. |
