MessageOOC: We need to try to reach cross-party unity on this! I've spent a while looking through old legislation and can't find the original monarchical anthem...I think it was "God Save the King" but can't find that. I know that the animal became the lion, but the motto and anthem, I'm not sure...

MessageOOC: The old anthem was called "Hutori! Our land is ours to share" or something. It was terrible. I would recommend keeping the current state anthem and choosing a new royal anthem-- pick a slow tune like "Jerusalem" or "Austria." The motto was "god save the king," which you have to agree is boring.

MessageOOC: "Honi soit qui mal y pense" means "shame on him who thinks [this] a shame." Don't use a translation; I think most people know enough French to understand the motto.

MessageOOC: The translation is arguable. Some translate it as you have, others translate it as "shame on him who thinks evil of it" and others translate it as I have done. However, I will remove the translation.
