Message | Do you think this means adding a public radio/tv service or replacing all private ones with this national one? I was looking to install a Public Broadcasting Service as a free educational channel that is independent, but not something that takes away other private channels. |

Message | We support. OOC: I'm virtually certain that it's to add one, not to replace any of the private ones. To replace the private ones would be covered by another option, "All radio stations are owned by the state." / "All television stations are owned by the state." Also, the various options available for this closely related pair of issues, seem to fall into this pattern: 1a) all are non-profit-cooperative without subsidies; 1b) all are non-profit-cooperative with subsidies; 2) all are state-owned; 3) one is non-profit-cooperative, and the rest are private; 4) one is state-owned; 5) all are private. It certainly looks like: 1 is to 2 as 3 is to 4; and 1 is to 3 as 2 is to 4. So, I feel that "and the rest are private" could be reasonably assumed to be part of the 4 option, and that it was just left out of the description for conciseness. |

Message | Armstrong: Houston, we have a problem, the Soviets are here and they are painting the Moon red! Houston: Ok, just let them do is. Armstrong: But ... Houston: Just do what we say. Armstrong: Houston, they've painted half of it red, and now they ran out of red paint. Houston: Ok, give them some more red paint. Armstrong: Give them more? But they are painting the Moon red and ... Houston: Soldier, obey the command! Armstrong: Well, the Commies painted the whole Moon red. :( Houston: Are they gone? Armstrong: Yes, they are gone. Houson: Ok, then get a bucket of white paint and write over it: "Enjoy Coca-Cola!" |
