Message | Current figures show that about 50,000 people worldwide die of second hand smoke each year. I as a member of the Bartletonian Party, agree that individual responsibility and state governments should regulate personal behavior of citizens. But with cigarette smoking, users are putting other people's livelihoods at stake. Individual freedom is only absolute when it does not infringe on the individual freedoms of other citizens to life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness. This is why I, Minister of Science and Technology, support this legislation to curb public smoking. I, as long as leaders of the Bartletonian Party, hope for the Health MInister's support to make this issue a national priority. Thank you. Sincerely, Dr. Dalton Millgate Minister of Science and Technology |

Message | We think we can trust the people to be responsible about this and are not really convinced by the arguments put forward by th BP. We think Dr. Milgate should restrict himself to increasing awareness of the obvious dangers of smoking. Giulianio D'Anselmo president of the D'ANSELMO-Independent movement. |
