Message | The Prime Minister: Mr Speaker, the government has been able to offer assistance to the Telamonese government without need for such laws as these. I agree that the law on the rights of refugees needs to be changed, but there is no need for integration-aid to be offered. Mr Speaker, the government can help its allies without these laws. |

Message | How? Without at least the changes effected in Article 1 we are legally bound not to. What is the harm in that change? We have known where those who would threaten our stability hide for months and have done nothing to inhibit their comings and goings. |

Message | Even the CLP's own Statement of Cooperation implies the very things made explicit in this bill. The CLP's opposition to this petition is a grandstanding sham. |

Message | We would prefer to see a combined task force. No reason to crack down on innocent commerce on our borders. |

Message | Mr Speaker, the Republicans misunderstand the situation. We offered military aid and resources in the form of our intelligence. This is the prerogative of government and does not require such legislation. This legislation, as we see it, is about the offering of monterary aid to developing nations. That is something that we cannot commit to. Situations should be judged on a case-by-case basis, without some sort of blanket approach. |
