MessageMr Speaker, there are two main amendments here. The first is that the office of Speaker shall not be seen as the President of the legislature, rather the "Presiding Officer". Secondly, there shall be a clause added that will insist that the speaker must resign from his original political party and must not be a member of any other politically-orientated campaign group.

MessageMr Speaker, we do not wish to appear un-co-operative, but we obviously prefer our own version of this.

MessageMr Speaker, we recognise that, but a majority has voted against it, and so we thought it best to propose a different version, in the hope that some system can be on the statute book!

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
