Message | Rt Hon Duchess Thompson MP: Mr Speaker, I oppose this bill on one simple principle. Our national standards are often above and beyond what may be deemed acceptable by the international arena. Who is to say that the international standards may not be worse than ours? We should trust our representatives, Mr Speaker, to do the right thing, rather than trust in the international arena. |
