Message | Rt Hon Duchess Thompson MP: Mr Speaker, these cuts in tax will give a boost to the economy, will encourage consumer spending and will encourage businesses to recruit more staff, thus dealing with the dual problems of lack of consumer confidence and unemployment. Mr Speaker, this bill will aid us in coming out of the recession. |

Message | Mr Speaker, it's been long recognised that consumer spending and mass borrowing caused the recession in the first place. If anything taxes should going up and not down. |

Message | Mr Speaker, how on earth does consumer spending cause a recession? It is simply not true. Mass borrowing is a different matter, and not at all linked to levels of taxation. |
Date | 20:50:15, February 10, 2010 CET | From | House Lusk-Nat'l Syndicalist Party (UM) | To | Debating the Economic Crisis Act |
Message | Mr Speaker, economics is not so much a science as it is a cargo cult. No economic model can predict anything. We simply favor lower taxes as being in our own self-interest, although we think the reduction in taxes is a bit too much. |

Message | Mr Speaker, this bill is clearly cronyism at it's worst. We ask the Conservative-Libertarian Party not what they are working for but.. WHO THEY ARE WORKING FOR?! |

Message | Mr Speaker, our independence from any outside agency has been clearly demostrated time and time again. We are for the freedom of all people. As I have also said, Mr Speaker, high taxes cripple the lowest earners the most, regardless of who they are intended to effect. |
