Message | Madam Speaker, this racist bill should not see the light of day. We should not be refusing entry to immigrants on the grounds of their race or nationality, but on the relevance of their skills and qualification. Madam Speaker, the whole purpose and point of immigration is so that we can fill the knowledge and technical gaps that cannot be fulfilled by our own population. Madam Speaker, nationality and race play no part in this. |

Message | Madam Speaker, as written this bill is not implementable. Which countries would receive preferential treatment, and for what reason? |

Message | Madam Speaker, it is not a racist bill as we are not denying foreigners the right to enter the country we are simply restricting the numbers. As for the NLP all countries would be given an equal allocation of people allowed to reside in Hutori and we would have a points system to decide who should be allowed into the country. |

Message | Madam Speaker, we already have a points system - that is how the system works! When considering whether to admit somebody to the country, His Majesty's Immigration Service considers the individual on the grounds of his skills and qualifications. That is how we best address the economic needs. Madam Speaker, we should not be restricting entry on grounds of nationality or race - we should be considering people by what they will bring to Hutori. |

Message | Besides which, Madam Speaker, the point system already rewards people who are more "in line" with Hutori norms-- those who speak in the language, those who can pass a test on our history, et cetera. |

Random fact: In order for a Cabinet bill to pass, more than half of the legislature must vote for it and all of the parties included in the proposed Cabinet must support it. If your nation has a Head of State who is also the Head of Government, then the party controlling this character must also vote for the bill, since the Head of Government is also a member of the Cabinet. If any of these requirements are not met, the bill will not pass. |
