Bill: Kirlawan Economic Investment Act

Details

Submitted by[?]: Barletonian Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes to change the allocation of funds in the budget. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 2904

Description[?]:

The Kirlawan Economic Investment Act includes:

1. Alternative Energy Incentive Initiative - A 40 billion dollar tax credit to provide businesses and homeowners who use alternative energy as a source with tax credits, as called for by the UPK. This will help kick-start a new green-collar economic sector and create millions of new jobs over the next decade. We must begin investing in our future so that when global oil markets begin to choke developed countries across the world, we will be ready to stay in control of our own destiny. We will not be blackmailed by oil barons or have our national security compromised because of our addiction to non-rewable, dirty energy supplies. We will harness innovation and workers here at home to help ourselves. The Bartletonian Party enthusiastically supports this measure and hopes that other parties will too.

2. Public Works Insuring Kirlawa's Future Project - An ambitious 140 billion dollar public works investment in projects stretching across every region. This will include state and local funding for:
-Electric buses and light rail systems
-Restructuring of bridges, road systems, water systems, and sewage systems.
-Revamping the electric power grid
-Expanding broadband internet acces
-Reconstruction of several of our nations largest dams.
-Investment funds in irrigation technology so that farmers can use less water to cover more crops efficiently
-Trash collecting, recycle collecting, and recycling plants
-Suburban development to spread out population centers and decrease city congestion
-Green Government Program to hire workers for insulating and installing solar panels on government buildings to cut energy costs.

3. Public School Enhancement Initiative - 40 billion dollar program to fund:
-Rebuilding of public schools across the country
-Computers in classrooms, internet access
-Efficient electronic organization software for administration
-Electric/hybrid school buses
-Discretionary funding(text books, projectors, dry-erase boards, etc.)
