MessageMr Speaker, while we are not opposed to strikes and workers rights, we find this law would be problematic to say the least. If one group wants to strike because of their own personal conditions then fair enough, but when one strike can lead to a chain reaction of other strikes especially whenever under this new law, other strikes which may not be related to the first strike is worrying.

Mr Speaker, trade unions already have enough freedoms, giving them this freedom will allow them to run riot!

MessageMr Speaker, whilst we agree with the stance of the HNP, we do not agree with their analysis of the situation. This will deprive individual trade union members of their freedom rather than enhance their freedom. Mr Speaker, trade union barons would be able to force and cajole their members to participate in strike action that does not directly concern them. The whole purpose, Mr Speaker, of a trade union is to have representation for one's own area of work. Ordinary people do not wish to participate in secondary strikes. Secondary strikes are simply games for unionist militants. Mr Speaker, this bill would prove extremely harmful to both business, the economy and ordinary workers and their families.

Random fact: Don't put "the" as the first word in your party name, because when parties are referred to in news reports, their names are preceded with "the", e.g. the [Socialist Party] has lost.
