Message | Mr Speaker, one of the most natural things in biology, anthropology and life in general, is the production of offspring. It is something very personal and very natural. It is therefore wrong, Mr Speaker, for the government to regulate the matter. Mr Speaker, the current law tilts the balance far too much in favour of the state. Indeed, it goes further than that. It has brought about the nationalisation of sexual intercourse and procreation. Mr Speaker, this position is intolerable. We should not be making adults pass a test before they can procreate. We do not require such a test for them to purchase a house, buy stocks and shares, open a business or even vote. So why then should we require tests in order to procreate? Mr Speaker, the CLP is not opposed to all regulation of the upbringing of children. We believe that there is a role for social services to monitor the upbringing of children to a certain extent. However, that is a completely different matter to banning parents from procreating and having children in the first place. Mr Speaker, as a civilised, tolerant and liberal nation, this law should be changed. |

Random fact: In cases where players introduce RP laws to a nation and then leave, Moderation reserves the discretion to declare the RP laws void if they appear to have fallen into disuse. In particular, please bear in mind that a player who is inexperienced with Particracy role-play and has joined a nation as the only party there should not generally be expected to abide by RP laws implemented by previous players who have been and left. |
