Bill: Building of National/Local Highways
Details
Submitted by[?]: King's Hope Party (ACN)
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: September 2909
Description[?]:
I have tried to pass this and I was being cocky. I didn't think I should explain it and I thought it would just pass. But this time I will say why I think we should do this. Right now, the national government pays for all roads. You have a interstate, the national government pays for it. You have a dead-end street, the national government pays and maintains it. If you have a small town, the mainstreet is maintained and payed for by the national government. This is how I think it should be. There should be an interstate system that is funding by the national government right? Because it goes from region to region, so no one region should own it. If a road is not a interstate high-way and is just a mainstreet, or some back-road, or a neighborhood road, then shouldn't the town or city fund and maintain it? And then if it is just a regional-highway that goes from the capital city to another big city in said region, then maybe that one region should pay for it. This will take some of the money we have to pay to keep these roads maintained becuase local governments can do it and maybe if they have some extra money they can tare up their old pot-hole roads and make new ones instead of requesting us every other day. That is what I think, share your oponion please :] ~Hope~ |
