This bill aims to give the government the authority to acquire private properties for the construction of vital government works that will serve the general public interest and contribute to the efficient development of the country. These government works shall include but are not limited to: road widening, flyovers, skywalks, bridges, and reclamation projects.

This bill also seeks to give affected parties with just compensation as determined by a neutral body that shall be referred to as the Commission on Eminent Domain.
