Message | No. Instead we must adjust the economy so that it grows and that businesses grow so they can hire these people. If the government is going to give them money, atleast hire them and have them work for it. Otherwise we breed a civilization of laziness and dependence. |

Message | So are you saying that we leave these people to die while we are thinking of a plan that may not come into action for another 10 years or longer? |

Message | No, I did not say leave them to die... I simply believe in creating long term change. Statistics do not prove your point, instead of increasing government spending and dishing out money, Reagan relied upon the work ethic of the people and lowered taxes which lowered the unemployment rate from 10% to roughly 5.8% by the end of this term in 1989. People aren't starving. We have food shelters, they have family members, religious organizations. Plus to take tax dollars and to give it to others would be to steal from other citizens who have jobs and are productive. I'm not saying that we shouldn't help the poor because they are unproductive, no I am saying that the government should stay out of private lives and create an economy that creates jobs so that they can be RESPONSIBLE citizens and PRODUCTIVE citizens and not simply those that mooch off the government. Instead of dishing out "free" money (nothing is free because as we have seen by recent legislation we end up have to tax the people more), instead hire them to build roads and to build schools and whatnot. Atleast then they will be making their own money. To say that I want people to die is really an immature and illegitimate argument. No I do not want people to die, I want people to have better lives and to know that they have better lives because they have worked hard for it and they have earned it of their own two hands. |

Random fact: It is not allowed to call more than 5 elections in 5 game years in a nation. The default sanction for a player persisting in the early election tactic will be a seat reset. |
