Message | I disagree this will be open to wide interpretation of the law, such a law should not be left up to local governments but central government instead |

Message | You'd prefer to keep it a recognised profession then? Better to leave it up to local govts. than to have it legal across the whole nation. It's disgusting and just makes our nation look bad. |

Message | Anyway. Sorry, missed a bit off the end there |
Date | 18:39:09, November 06, 2005 CET | From | Freedom Party | To | Debating the Prostitution! |
Message | This is a hard decision for the Freedom Party to make. While we do support the devolution of powers to the regions, we also believe that illegalising prostitution will only precipitate a dramatic increase in Sexually Transmitted Diseases and it will only make prostitution more dangerous - prostitution can never be stamped out. Our decision, however, is to vote for the devolution to the regions, and then, once the power has been devolved, push as hard as we can to keep it legal. |

Message | I agree with the freedom party. This is a decision that should be left to the local governments. |

Message | The People's Equality Party is totally against this, this is just a ploy to try and have made illegal through local governments. Although prostitution is morally dubious there is no reason why it should be illegal, the alternative is an illegal organisation where both the prostitutes and clients are put in danger, it is unregulated, will increase the amount of sexually transmitted diseases. If it remains legalised it can be a regulated, monitored profession. |

Message | If we wanted it made totally illegal, we would have made it so in the bill! |
