MessageA heated discussion, and with former Justice Minister Peternella fervorantly against this bill, as he stated that "it is the duty of the government to protect it's citizens from these products until enough research is done!", but former Health & Sociali Services Minister, and current Education & Culture Minister Muller stating that enough research was done, and that GM foods didn't cause that much of a health issue, and it must be labeled anyway and the people would ultimately have to make the choice, stating 'it is time for the people also to be wary of their choices! we mustn't protect them of every little thingd that they themself can do!'. Commissar on Food & Agriculture also had her turn on the podium, saying "altough I myself heavily disagrees with genetic manipulation of crops and foods, and I myself would never do or buy such thing, not at this point in time atleast, I have no right of restricting and imposing my belief and rhetoric on the people. Let them decide, I'm sure they can"

After all the discussions and debate, a vote was taken, and Union Socialism Alliance decided 71-53 to vote in favor of this bill.
