Message | President Mark Burton is proposing a new tax plan to help bring more money into the surplus. He proposes on cutting a percent off the income tax for those make less than 1,000ALO. He proposes to raise taxes by 2 percent from 15 to 17% for those making less than 5,000ALO which will bring in more money. The paln also proposes to increase the income taxes on those making less than 20,000ALO from 30% to 33% and finally less than 25,000 ALO will pay 38% instead of 35%. Burton is confident that Alorian families will still be able to pay the new increased taxes as the same rate they are currently. Burton targeted the 5,000ALO mark because that’s where most of the money in income taxes comes from The reason with the increased taxes is to bring in more revenue in for a proposed budget plan as well as proposed rain day fund. |
