Bill: Green Belt Zone Policy

Details

Submitted by[?]: NCPA

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 2935

Description[?]:

"Now we have reached peak levels of population, and urbanisation is increasing, it is important to maintain not just the beauty of the rural areas but functionality of these areas, which are essential to eco-systems and tourism. We must enforce non-urban 'green belt zones' to achieve this."- NCPA Candidate for Environment and Tourism, Jillian Henderson

Green Belt Zone allocation by region:
17,000 km in Ultran region
33,000 km in Kurmal
27,500 km in Sildar
11,000 km in Krentori
44,000 km in Gavonshire

these areas will be allocated and left to naturally develop. The local council may wish to construct basic footpaths to aid visitors to these beauty spots. However no commercial building will be constructed in these areas.

These rough figures are based on total area of regions in relation to total population.

MessageWe feel that this will cost minimal amounts for such a positive outcome, as we figure Termination of the Population Growth Promotion Act will free up such money that would have gone to the cause of this problem.

MessagePark policy is traditionally left to local governments, and so it should remain. The people of Sildar oppose.

MessageCurrently if this were to go to vote I would vote No because,
We feel that parks should be left to local governments as this gives the people some power.

MessageThe only way to assure that these park exist is to regulate them via the national government, the land will then be guaranteed as green belt, we owe this to the present people and future generations.

MessageWe oppose because local governments understand better how to protect their parks that are local than us in Congress.

Random fact: The people in your nation don't like inactive parties. When you often abstain from voting for a bill, they will dislike your party and your visibility to the electorate will decrease significantly. Low visibility will means you are likely to lose seats. So keep in mind: voting Yes or No is always better than Abstaining.
