Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change The lyrics of the national anthem.
Old value:: We have never failed to find among our sons the men we have need of, Willingly they have always devoted their health and lives in our unsparing service, Welcoming the jungle bed, the desert path, the mountain, or the wave. And they will never fail us till we turn our back on empire, and forget the sea. In our luxurious country palaces, as under the humbler cottage thatcher, They are found, with sea-borne love of adventure in their veins, Able to command, and ready to obey. Brave, strong and merciful. Such was the brood which built our Company, and became of knight-arrant of the sea, Founders of new nations and pillars of our own. If some day on those eastern ranges of Terra, a new race shall quicken into life, When peace and goodwill have supplanted internecine feuds in the child-heart of the savage, When the greed of the Whites has ceased to seek for profit in the damnation of the black, When the story of Pontesian dominance over Gaduridos is only a page in the past, Then one would wish to dream maybe that, as they reap the harvests that are still unsown, Men will speak with a mythic reverence of the goodly man who came from the white King, To give the country peace, and that the first traditions of a land which has no memory yet, May gather round the grave on this, Gaduridos.
Current:
(To the tune of "El Pueblo Unido" Egelian: ¡Los Gaduri unidos nunca serán derrotados! Luthorian: The Gaduri united will never be defeated! The Gaduri united will never be defeated! Arise, so that we may prevail, Advancing now are the banners of unity, Marching together in united harmony, And so you will see, The Gaduri people prosper. The light of a new dawn, Already announcing the new life to come. Arise, march, the Gaduri will triumph, And the new life to come will be better. To ensure our happiness, And in a clamor, A thousand fighting voices will rise, To defend the liberty of Gaduridos, With determination, the fatherland will prevail. And now the people, Who rose up to defend liberty, With the strength of many, Shouting: Forward! The Gaduri united will never be defeated! The Gaduri united will never be defeated! From north to south, The fatherland is forging unity. From the northern forests, To the southern coast, United in struggle and freedom, They go uniting the fatherland, Their steps announcing a new future. Arise, so that we may prevail, Millions now are united in harmony, Their fiery defense of liberty, Take in their hands, Justice and reason. The people of fire and valor, Are here alongside freedom. And now the people, Who rose up to defend liberty, With the strength of many, Shouting: Forward! The Gaduri united will never be defeated! The Gaduri united will never be defeated! |
Proposed:
Unity, freedom and prosperity for the Gaduri land; lets us all pursue, life with heart and hand. Unity, freedom, prosperity, are the pledge of happiness. Flourish in this nation's glory, flourish, our great land. Gaduridos, Gaduridos above all, above all attempts to oppress us, when faced with hardship, we stand together as equals. From South Vintalli to Pernessia, from Marligantos to North Vintalli, Gaduridos, Gaduridos above all, above anything else. Gaduridos, Gaduridos above all, and during disaster more , only in disaster can we, show we are loyal and true; So shall our nation continue, despite disaster. Gaduridos, Gaduridos above all, and during ill times more than ever. Gaduridos, Gaduridos our home, We are provided for by you. Our oppurtunities are endless. Here, our dreams come true. And despite all else, So shall our nation continue. Gaduridos, Gaduridos above all else, Great is our prosperity. |
