We at the OP propose the following, that the regulation of smoking and sale of tobacco products is devolved to the local and regional governments. Government closer to home is more effective, representative government. If the people want regulation of tobacco, then let them have it in their city or region. Do not let us here in Hayek what is best for the whole nation. |

Old value:: Smoking is legal everywhere, at the discretion of the property owner. However, service/employer property owners that allow smoking must provide a separate non-smoking section.
Current: Smoking is legal outdoors and in private homes and clubs, but illegal indoors in all places of employment.
Proposed: Smoking regulations are to be determined by local governments.
