Bill: Satrap Powers Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Nemangha Humananghô
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: December 3038
Description[?]:
These are all matters that should be left up to individual satraps. Education will always be free for everyone, but higher education and nurseries are both things that should be managed by regional policies and not national ones. Similarly, recycling is good, but should be the responsibility of local authorities. Positive discrimination should be determined by regional population figures, as demographics are different from place to place. One overarching affirmative action policy is very ineffective. Our party seriously implores the Civic Democrats to offer their support, as we feel this devolution sets an appropriate precedent for a more efficient government that responds to the needs of the people rather than sets overarching doctrines to be followed by all. This bill does not abolish anything, but simply transfers responsibility. |

Random fact: "OOC", "IC" and "IG" are commonly-used acronyms in Particracy. "OOC" refers to comments, discussions and actions which are out-of-character, meaning they are done player-to-player rather than party-to-party. "IC" refers to in-character interactions (ie. party-to-party). Similarly, "IG" means in-game, although this term may also simply refer to what happens in the actual game interface, as opposed to on the forum or elsewhere. "RP" just means "role-play". |
Random quote: "Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are like us." Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: "Because the animals are not like us." Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction." - Charles R.
