We must strive to protect sections of our industry that are threatened by hostile economic actions of foreign powers. If a nation proposes a sanction of one og our goods, then we must propose a reciprocal sanction in order to protect our own workers, and t force the other nation into accepting our goods once more.

MessageBecause of its implication, this bill should have been debated. We will oppose, because the proposed mesure may or may not hurt our industries and ours workers. For example, if we gain job in the raw material sector (because we tax the cheap ore from another country) but loose job in the transformation sector (because we may not produce competitive goods with the new prices of the raw materials), we gain nothing.
