We must strive to protect sections of our industry that are threatened by hostile economic actions of foreign powers. If a nation proposes a sanction of one og our goods, then we must propose a reciprocal sanction in order to protect our own workers, and t force the other nation into accepting our goods once more. |

Proposal[?] to change International trade (this is a default in the absense of a specific free trade agreement or specific trade embargo)
Old value:: The nation does not impose any tariffs or quotas on imports.
Current: The nation allows for imports, but imposes protectionist tariffs and quotas on all imports.
Proposed: The nation imposes reciprocal tariffs on imports, with no tariffs imposed on states which impose no tariffs on our exports.

Message | Because of its implication, this bill should have been debated. We will oppose, because the proposed mesure may or may not hurt our industries and ours workers. For example, if we gain job in the raw material sector (because we tax the cheap ore from another country) but loose job in the transformation sector (because we may not produce competitive goods with the new prices of the raw materials), we gain nothing. |

Message | This is a horrible idea...tarriffs are the one thing that interferes the most with the free market. This means much higher prices for consumers and business alike. |
