MessageMr Speaker, the current discrimination against religion is shameful. If people want to set up religious schools, what business is it of the state to intervene? If parents don't like the values espoused by a school, they won't send their kids to it. It's very simple.

MessageMr. Speaker,
We must set standards for our education system. We want to build a country of intellegient and hard working people. People graduating from a religious school should graduate with at least the same knowledge as those graduating from public schools.
Also a student graduating from a religious school that is not regulated would be at a disadvantage because their diploma would say nothing about their knowledge. A graduate could have no knowledge of math! or not even know how to read!

MessageMr Speaker, we are now going to permit the idea of a religous school. We however share the concerns of the CLP. The idea that these religous schools are unregulated makes no sense for Hutori. We need educated young people coming out of the education system - not just religous people! Schools need to ensure that young people are capable of finding a worthwile job to benefit the Hutorian society and there needs to be some form of regulation to ensure this.

MessageMr Speaker, it's our firm belief that the free market will ensure all are educated to a decent standard. Parents will not send their children to religious schools unless it prepares them for the future, and so if a religious school fails in its duties, it will fail to be successful.

MessageMr Speaker, we do maintain reservations over the implementation of religous policy in Hutori. We do not want to have a system where it is forced down peoples throats. The education system is primarily to train people for jobs - religious enlightenment can be chose outside of the education system - hence the current regulations on the religous schools. The idea of schools forcing religion upon the young generation is not something the state should encourage! The education system is one of learning and religion should be left to peoples private lives.

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators.
