Message | The JLSP is baffled by how anyone in this parliament would wish to treat our own citizens as they would enemy combatants. Restricting the rights of individuals found guilty was hard enough to swallow but at least within the realms of comprehension, but to do so to those citizens who haven't even been arrested or placed on trial is astonishing. The police force already has special arms teams for such situations you describe. They are as capable as any military solider, but with proper police training and guidelines. The JLSP doesn't see how this is needed, even if it could be justified, and suspects an ulterior motive behind the passing of this bill. |
