Message | This is an act of utmost importance to the legacy and tradition of the Federal Republic. As an office that was part of this nation's history for over 500 years, it cannot simply be forgotten. Now is the time to discuss this venue of democracy and restore history to Solentia and rid the country of the arbitrary and common title of "Premier". Let's restore the Senate Wardenship, let's restore Solentia. We are willing to negotiate on other matters to see this through. FIP Minority Leader Jay Thesmond |

Message | This bill was in debate for close to a year and no complaints nor questions were to be heard. Yet now that voting begins, the SDP opposes the bill on grounds I am unaware of. I am confused by the often verbose and longwinded SDP's lack of discussion and debate on this bill. Opposition to this bill is a dangerous move. We are keen on seeing the Senate Warden's restoration. Message | It has long been known that the SDP does not look incredibly favorably upon the title of "Senate Warden." For a long time, it was as a courtesy to the FIP's long history that we agreed to defer opposition to the change. However, given that the FIP has chosen to oppose virtually, if not certainly, all of the SDP's recent legislative proposals, we don't see any reason to continue that courtesy when we cannot even garner the smallest expressions of support legislatively. Supreme President Fay long preserved the fact that we would defer to the FIP on these matters. As Supreme President Fay has left the Senate to serve in his current capacity as Head of State, however, I am switching our position on the matter. Respectfully, Senator Brandon Helmkamp |
