Bill: Crackdown on AIDS and other STI'S

Details

Submitted by[?]: Labour Party

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3095

Description[?]:

While I may not agree with having sex just for the sake of it, there are some clowns in Aloria who do. That is why we need to provide a subsidsed although not free contraception service to make sure people who have sex will decrease their chances off getting an STI drastically. That is why I believe why should have cheaper contraceptives, not because I agree with people having sex for fun and don't want children but it will decrease a person's chance of contracting an STI.

MessageWhile I don't understand the Labour Party's opinion on having sexual relations for pleasure (which we find quite reactionary for a party that calls itself socialist [or atleast that's what I heard]), we agree completely that the state should subsidize contraceptives, for it will reduce the transmission of STI's and also reduce unwanted children, teenage pregnants, and abortions (since it's better to prevent).

OOC: How about some roleplay guys? It doesn't really seem you're talking in parliament

MessageOOC; yes I agree with more role playing, but what do you mean by "It doesn't really seem you're talking in parliament"

RWP, the only reason why we're doing this is so that we can prevent STI's. Why would people have hardcore sex for pleasure? I'm not just meaning kissing or sex for babies but like downright dirty oral sex, threesomes and fingering, I have no idea why anyone would want to even think about doing that? Would you?

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
