Bill: Sacking Restriction Act
Details
Submitted by[?]: Labour Party
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3104
Description[?]:
I would rather make it be that workers cannot be sacked for going on strike but that has no way of passing so why bother. Anyway, at least there should be government approval before a worker can be sacked fro going on strike. This will prevent the abuse of power from the bosses of businesses who just want to crush dissent in the workforce and it will create a national definition of what is a "reasonable" reason for going on strike not how the employers see it. Hopefully common sense prevails here and this should get through. |
Proposals
Article 1
Proposal[?] to change Employer's rights in regards to firing striking workers.
Old value:: Employers can fire workers who are deemed to have gone on strike without reasonable reasons.
Current: Employers cannot fire workers who have gone on strike.
Proposed: Government approval is needed before strikers can be fired.
