Message | Having a Deltarian embassy in Aloria will give us an unprecidented chance to lobby them on topics such as human rights. |

Message | We're are against this. Just letting any country put it's embassy here is stupid, plus, they can get approval through the Foreign Office, which is more effective and safe. |

Message | It's just an embassy. We can do better than hide from the world's problems- we can directly influence other nations. Plus, it would give our people somewhere to protest the next time the Deltarians murder their own people. |
Date | 17:00:48, November 19, 2005 CET | From | Independent Capitalist Party | To | Debating the Freedom for Foreign Embassies |
Message | Most nations already have embassies here. Having an embassy means we recognize the existance of their nation. What if a highly evil and impopular nation rises to power and puts an embassy here from which they can spread their evil propaganda? Some regulation is always better than no regulation as that is too uncontrolable, but too much regulation is also bad as that would be issolationist. I see no reason to change from the middle way... |
