MessageWe would appreciate it if the National Party would give some explanation or reasoning for these reforms. What do you hope to achieve by altering the system by which the national legislature is constituted, or by fusing the roles of President and Prime Minister into one?

We believe that the President and Prime Minister have distinct roles, and that the administration of the nation demands that both positions be maintained. The President handles international matters, proclaims official stances and provides oversight to the Prime Minister; the Prime Minister heads the National Assembly and handles more legislative matters.
