Bill: National Sport Revision Act of 3129
Details
Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance
Status[?]: passed
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: August 3130
Description[?]:
This bill aims to revise the national sport of Aloria from Rugby League to Alorian football. The reasons for this change are the following: (1) Rugby League represents a sport organization and not the sport itself. As such, it is highly inappropriate for this nation to continue having it as a national sport when it is not a sport at all. (2) The national sport of Aloria has traditionally been Alorian football. It is a sport that places everyone at an equal level due to its reliance on one's foot in the game and, as such, does not discriminate a player based on one's height. As such, we believe that we should go back to tradition and recognize its contribution in promoting equality and peace to Aloria. |

Message | OOC: What is Alorian football? According to a previous bill, it's supposed to be similar to Australian rules football. (See http://classic.particracy.net/viewbill.php?billid=284723) Also, could someone tell who thought about making Rugby League the national sport instead of rugby alone? |

Message | Because Rugby League and Union are totally different. Rugby League is more fast paced and a modified version of Union and is popular in Australia and New Zealand. Rugby Union is the original version but is slower placed and is popular in New Zealand, the UK, France and my former homeland, South Africa. Also one "try" in Union is worth 5 points and one "try" in league is worth 4 points. Both of these are popular here in Ireland and I played Rugby Union at school and sometimes coach at a the school. By the way Australian Rules Football is a modified version of the Irish Gaelic Football which is our national sport in Ireland. So I'm voting no to this. |
