Bill: An Act to Withdraw Aloria from the League of Nuclear Nations

Details

Submitted by[?]: Genuine Progress Alliance

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill proposes the withdrawal from a treaty. It will require half of the legislature to vote in favor[?]. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: August 3131

Description[?]:

This bill aims to withdraw Aloria from the League of Nuclear Nations. Though the league is one that recognizes the independence of Aloria when it comes to the development and utilization of biological, chemical, and nuclear weapons, it also prevents us from exploring the pacifist alternative of not developing and utilizing these types of weapons.

We believe that this league is anti-pacifist and is not in compliance with the national motto, "Peace is its Own Reward".

MessageThe thing about the League of Nuclear Nations is that they say that they believe in the RIGHT to develop WMDs. If it is indeed a right, why could we not choose not to develop these WMDs. The proposals in the treaty are basically stopping from stopping all development of WMDs if we wish to do so. In essence, what was supposed to be a RIGHT to develop WMDs became an OBLIGATION to develop and utilize WMDs.

Random quote: "Capitalism demands the best of every man- his rationality- and rewards him accordingly. It leaves every man free to choose the work he likes, to specialize in it, to trade his product for the products of others, and to go as far on the road of achievement as his ability and ambition will carry him." - Ayn Rand
