MessageThere are currently 22 vacant Senate seats. Divided by the population, that is roughly 5 million citizens across Solentia that are not currently represented in the Senate. Not only are the Senate seats vacant, but there are currently several vacancies in the national cabinet.

That, coupled with the inability of the Seville Administration to form a government, leads us to believe that early elections are necessary to prevent the government from being anything but fully functional over the next year and a half.

Do not deny the people their representation for political purposes. I have faith that you, my fellow Senators, will do the right thing.

MessageThe Labour Party's rationale cannot be disputed. 5 million people should not be voiceless in our political system and they shouldn't stay voiceless. That is why the United Liberal Caucus is supporting this bill.

MessageThere are many bills being voted on. We think it would be better to have them finished voting then call for early elections.

MessageThese seats have been empty for some time, it only makes most sense to finish serving this term through. Solentia cannot keep having interrupted terms.
