Bill: Separation of Church & State Act of 3185
Details

Status[?]: defeated

Voting deadline: June 3187
Description[?]:
An act to reform the governments stance on religion in order to protect both government and religion. Why is it important to build a wall of separation between Church and State? It is important that we provide the protection of both the State and the Church by building this wall because history is ripe with events and incidences where either the State has taken over religion for its own tyrannical purposes, or religion has dominated the State and wrought the most awful atrocities known to mankind. When you mix politics and religions, you end up hurting both the principles of freedom of religions and the State as a whole because politics has an innate tendency to corrupt whomever is involved. Therefore, in order to protect the free practice of religion, it is vital that religion is separated from the State so that no religion can gain control of the State and impose itself upon the people and persecute them. Also, the State must stay out of the affairs of religions so that it cannot gain the possibility of wielding the power of religion for tyrannical purposes. |
