Bill: Cabinet Proposal of January 3243

Details

Submitted by[?]: Democratic Socialist Front

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: September 3243

Description[?]:

Proposing a Cabinet. Now that the GCP have proclaimed their revolutionary intent we have to agree with the other parties that they are too dangerous a force to serve in a Rutanian government. We were perhaps short sided in working with them. It is clear Rutania needs to move forward with some kind of compromise government coalition.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The Republicans will vote no by tradition. However, the URP and REP would be better off with the status quo which grants them more prominence throughout the ministries.

James Hatch,
Republican Leader.

MessageMr. Speaker,

It is clear that the RP is on a destructive campaign. That is their choice. Their attempts to cling to power by holding onto their cabinet positions can only be described as desperate. Perhaps they should spend more time planning a way back to a popular mandate by offering constructive policy platforms that attract Rutanians.

Rachel Colvin,
DSF Parliamentary Leader.

MessageMr. Speaker,

If the DSF interprets our action to preserve a function cabinet as being desperate, then so be it. However, the DSF should propose a better cabinet which grants other parties more privileges to attract some supports.

James Hatch,
Republican Leader.

MessageMr. Speaker,

The GCP supports this proposal fully, eventhough we have not been selected for any of the ministries we beleive that the elected government should make the final call on who is going to be working alongside them.

Chairman of the GCP

MessageMr. Speaker,

The REP would by no means participate in such a coalition. It is clear that the leftists are not able to form a functioning coalition, and as such they are resorting to such disperate measures as this proposal. We do not approve the attempt to isolate our friends, the RP.

Oliver Vandermark,
President of the REP
