Bill: Welfare Reform

Details

Submitted by[?]: Grand National Party

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: April 3244

Description[?]:

We should conduct several reforms in the area of welfare.

1.) I think we can all agree that there is a need to help those in need. However, we should stop redistributing taxpayer money from top to bottom. By making the basic income a temporary measure scheduled to exceed after a certain amount of time, we can save a lot of money that could be used for further tax cuts.

2.) We can not force the people to pay for a public pension system. The individual knows better abou the ideal way to plan for his retirement than the government. We should therefore give the people more options, such as private pensions.

Random fact: In cases where a party has no seat, the default presumption should be that the party is able to contribute to debates in the legislature due to one of its members winning a seat at a by-election. However, players may collectively improvise arrangements of their own to provide a satisfying explanation for how parties with no seats in the legislature can speak and vote there.
