Message | Exactly, Frau Ansgard, and that's why local communities should be able to determine the setup and funding of sports clubs themselves through private community cooperatives, rather than have local government bureaucrats in municipal offices decide on their behalf. - Peter Kemmer, communities spokesperson for the Konservative Partei. |

Message | That way the clubs will not have to worry about funding as the local governments will provide it for them. The communities will only have to setup the policies of such of the clubs. I see nothing wrong with this arrangement and it insures that greedy capitalist do not get involved and use their money to shape the clubs in their own light. By putting it into the hands of the government, the people will be able to make sure the local officials listen to their needs as this is a republic and democracy no? Date | 16:14:07, June 21, 2012 CET | From | Konservative Partei | To | Debating the Local Funding of Sports Club Act |
Message | Given Frau Ansgard's clarification regarding the role of local governments, we would give our qualified support for this proposal. We believe it's important that clubs have a guarantee of autonomy without fear that governments will try to interfere, and we will be keenly observing to ensure that Frau Ansgard's assurances are held to account. - Peter Kemmer, communities spokesperson for the Konservative Partei. |
