| Kaliburg is the ancient seat of Government in Kalistan. This resolution calls for the re-establishment of the Capital at Kaliburg. The following resolution aims at accomplishing this task. Be it resolved: 1) Kaliburg, the ancient seat of Government in Kalistan be restored the title of "Capital of the Free and United Country of Kalistan." 2) The land and government of Dulnerstaad be annexed directly to the city of Kaliburg so that the administrative functions that have moved there over the centuries may remain there. 3) That the Presidential Palace and the People's Assembly be re-established at Kaliburg. 4) That the Constitutional Court be re-established at Kaliburg. 5) OOC: That upon passage of this act, we let the game mods know to change the town named Dulnerstaad to Kaliburg and that Kaliburg shall be our capital. We lost Kaliburg as a city when the Game mods moved us from five to four cities per District, so through no fault of our own, we lost our capital. That oversight was only discovered too late, and when we tried to change the law before, we couldn't seem to get a majority to vote for the change, though there were no votes but only abstentions against the bill. Since we are not changing the location of the capital, just substituting the name, this should be a fairly easy process. |
