Recognizing the irreparable harm caused by drug use not only to individuals, but to society and most importantly to families, especially the dependents of drug addicts. Drugs are addictive and when a user becomes an addict, they lack the rational capacity to make a decision about their drug use. Using becomes a need, and puts these often poor and dispossessed people into the thrall of predatory dealers and destroys their mental and physical health, rendering them unable to be productive members of society, but most importantly causing huge damage to their families. Drugs are a cancer on society and their use should not be legitimized anywhere in this nation. Red Aloria also recognizes the primitiveness of using marijuana as a medicinal drug, considering their are already much safer pharmaceutical drugs that are derived from cannabis that harness the pain relieving properties of the drug with none of the harmful intoxicating effects or increased susceptibility to mental illness or the increased risk of cancer.
