| Message | Mr. Speaker, The present size of the Diet was agreed in 3269, after centuries of a Diet of only 101 members. It was felt that, to better represent the populace, a larger number should be represented. While we do not in principle oppose reform in the size of the legislature, we in the Tory benches would ask our Rt Hon friends in the ILA benches to tell to the house the concerns prompting the proposed reform.
