Bill: State Supremacy Act, 3366
Details
Submitted by[?]: United Justice Party
Status[?]: defeated
Votes: This is an ordinary bill. It requires more yes votes than no votes. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.
Voting deadline: April 3369
Description[?]:
THERE SHALL BE No courts. No old men judging criminal cases; rather, all those accused of a crime shall come before a Vanguard, who shall make the judgement as to guilt or innocence. Only then can we preserve the power of the almighty State. AND APPEALS Shall be impossible, because the State has better things to worry about that a whinging criminal, who knows his own guilt but is too nefarious to admit it, trying to have a Vanguard's judgement reversed. The Vanguards are always right, because they have behind them the omniscience of the State itself. LEGAL AID Is merely an excuse for traitors and criminals to sap money from the coffers of the State to find a man more able to get them out of trouble. There shall be no legal aid from the State - there shall be no lawyers to prevent the course of righteous justice. TO MAKE THE JOB Of the said Vanguards easier, the military must have greater powers. They shall search letters and information so deviant thoughts may be revealed. They shall search property without restrictions - which traitor would open his door to Vanguard law enforcement officials? IN ADDITION TO THIS Torture shall be used to obtain information from traitors who would never reveal the hideous nature of their plots without being placed under extreme duress. There will be innocents mistakenly tortured, but the rights of the State shall trump the non-existent rights of the individual. THE MILITARY Shall be the police, and they shall carry military-grade weapons. They shall be unrestricted in the exercise of their powers. Their unlimited power shall be wielded in the name of the unlimited power of the State. AND DNA Must be recorded. It is perhaps the simplest way to ensure that criminals and traitors are caught and brought to justice by the State. THERE CAN BE No person who owns dangerous weapons. We shall restrict weapon ownership, and restrict where they can be taken. These weapons must be carried openly. Thus, the State shall not be hassled by armed traitors and villains. TO FURTHER Maintain public order, no people shall be allowed out beyond a certain curfew time, except in emergencies or with official approval from a Vanguard official. IF THERE IS Someone sufficiently bold, stupid and anti-Vanguard to break the laws, we must exterminate them like the vermin and parasites they are. They shall be publicly shot so that they will no longer exist to disrupt the good order of the State, and to serve as an example to those that need encouragement to give their utmost loyalty of the State. All crimes shall henceforth be capital. IN SUCH A WAY The supremacy of the State, inherent to the State, shall be preserved. Those that wish to undermine it will be found out, seized, tried and brought to ultimate justice. |

Random fact: Cultural Protocol bills must provide a real-life equivalent or short description for the ethnic groups, languages and religions contained in them, such that it would be easy for an unfamiliar player to understand (e.g. "Dundorfian = German"). Where appropriate, they should also provide guidance to players on where to find help with translations and character names. This might include, for example, links to Google Translate, Behind the Name's Random Name Generator and Fantasy Name Generators. |
Random quote: "In Germany they first came for the Communists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me--and by that time no one was left to speak up." - Pastor Martin Niemoller |
