Article One 1) The General Secretary may be impeached with the consent of two-thirds of the members of the legislature, regardless of whether or not they vote on the motion. 2) The General Secretary shall only be impeached for a) ordinary crimes, b) misprison of an ordinary crime, c) perjury of oath, or d) nonfeasance, misfeasance or malfeasance. 3) The General Secretary shall have all the legal protections afforded to a defendant before an ordinary criminal court. 4) Should the motion to impeach succeed, the legislature may impose one or more of the following penalties: a) forfeiture of the office, b) disqualification from holding office, the type and duration of which shall be determined by the legislature, c) submission to a court for trial. 5) Should the motion to impeach succeed, early elections shall be initiated. |
