MessageWhat do you have against missionaries?

And nuclear weapons...I'm sure all your "farmers" are so concerned about those...cause you know, they don't cause land to become unsuable or anything now do they?

If we were to use Nuclear Weapons on another country, I'm sure they wouldn't want to retaliate against us with their own or anything now would they?

MessageSo naive... nuclear weapons only destroy land if they are used, but then again I suppose I'll nuke farmers' land just for the hell of it. The point of nuclear weapons is to have a deterrent and if used, to destroy the enemy before they destroy you.

MessageYeah i know what Nuclear Weapons do.
When the other countries decide to Nuke our country, the farmer's land will be usless...
If there is an accident in building or moving Nuclear Weapons in our country there is the potential for the land to be compromised...

(up there I was being sardonic, don't call me naive...you hypocrite)

MessageSo how does this legislation change what other nations decide to do? It acts as a deterrent to PREVENT nations launching first strikes for no reason, and allows us to adequately defend ourselves.

Secondly, you are naive to believe that a nuclear accident could happen. We have tight regulations on the maintenance and storage of the weapons, and have programs in place in case something does happen. Over the history in the real world, only two accidents have ever happened in involving nuclear power, and none concerning nuclear weapons (the case in the Soviet Union was due to poor maintenance and uneducated operators of the plant.

Lastly, how am I hypocrite because nuclear weapons pose an almost zero risk to farmers or society?

You're talking like North Korea. How was our last law about being able to simply retaliate against attacks a bad one? Just because we allow ourselves to launch a preemptive strike doesn't mean they'll be any less likely to hit us, and in all honesty it will probably push us closer to war because we would be then threatening them with OUR preemptive strikes!

By the by, nuclear weapons pose an extreme risk to the economy, the agriculture, the health of the people, and our standing in the international arena. If you say Nukes pose zero risk to farmers and society, you are wrong. If they pose no threat to people, then why use them as weapons? Unless of course you were using that sentence in a different meaning, in which case I'd love to hear it.

I stand by SE party in their views.

MessageBy allowing ourselves to launch a pre-emptive strike, we can decimate the enemy's armed forces before they can do anything. There is no debate in that unless you want to completely ignore logic. The Quanzari military can detect the launching of nuclear weapons and can quickly react that is enough of a deterrent to other nations attacking us for not just reason (we an our allies are the only ones with this technology).

No, accidents occurring from nuclear weapons has a probability very close to zero. Secondly, if nuclear weapons were used by other nations, they'd use them against urban areas, not light populated rural areas. However, the main point of nuclear weapons is to pose a risk and to be used when needed.
