We have to think of our beloved citizens. Paupery is a problem for elder people and we have to help them to take care for their last third of life. The public pension shall be a basic pension monthly, privet pension shall be used to save more then a basic pension. |

Message | Compulsory systems are simply stealing money from people, not providing them with a choice. That is the real problem I have with it |

Message | During the working life our beloved citizens earn theri money. Some of them have a good education and a good understanding of pensions others don't have this ever learned or infos about. While in priciple the people shall take care about their own matters we are also responsible to avoid paupery in the divisions of retired working people. We are not speaking about a pension to save a current standard of living. This would increase only the needed money. We are speaking about a basic pension garanteing people don't need to stay on the streets and that they are able to buy food. Therefore the needed amount of money is very small. This will work if we don't abuse this money for other projects. It isn't a generation contract too. Every working citizens has his "own" money account. After 40 years of working you recieve your pension which garantees a basic income. For additional income or to keep a current living standard citizens should sign privet pension contracts. In this way we avoid paupery in this group of citizens and still let them be responsible for additional wishes for their pension. |

Message | But we are stealing. Legitimate governments do not steal. If this is passed, it will not be a legitimiate government. Stealing is an issue I feel very strongly about |

Message | I don't view this as theft. I view it as investment. It is no different than collecting education taxes and giving the people the benefit of public schooling. |

Message | I also view taxes as theft, but it is necassary. How is government pension necassary? |

Message | Pensions are only necessary insofar as you live to retirement. If there were no retirement age in Selucia, I'd be inclined to agree that no compulsary pension system necessarily need to exist. However, given that 65 is our retirement age, it necessitates a pension system. |
