Bill: Cabinet of Lucas Manon

Details

Submitted by[?]: Centre Democrats

Status[?]: defeated

Votes: This bill presents the formation of a cabinet. It requires more than half of the legislature to vote yes. Traditionally, parties in the proposal vote yes, others (the opposition) vote no. This bill will pass as soon as the required yes votes are in and all parties in the proposal have voted yes, or will be defeated if unsufficient votes are reached on the deadline.

Voting deadline: May 3485

Description[?]:

Mr. Speaker,

I would first of all thank every person who voted for me and I would like to thank the parties that supported me at the elections. The conservative parties have lost the elections and thank God for that. There is now a centre to centre-left majority in Parliament and I would therefore like to present this cabinet proposal.

Let us get Dranland back on track!

MessageMr Speaker,

we will gladly support this liberal coalition that will do away with the stifling restrictions the conservatives have imposed upon the civil liberties of our people. The country has voted for change, and we shall deliver!

It's sad to see the RFR betray whatever libertarian ideals they had left by putting themselves in a government with liberals.

We will be back!

MessageMr. Speaker, I am naturally delighted that the DCP received more than a million extra votes compared to last time, but disappointed that our coalition has not retained its majority. As democrats, we respect the fact that the electorate appear to have voted for a new government. On behalf of my party, I wish Lucas Manon and the incoming Cabinet all the best of luck for governing the country over the next four years.

MessageMr. Speaker,

Is my party the only one that sees the inclusion of parties such as the Popular Party - who were given a massive thumbs down considering the number of seats they lost - and the Social Democrats - who barely have any MPs at all - as an injustice?

The fact is that this will be yet another government of the old guard, and we fail to see left-wing party would be able to successfully lead a government that would include many ministers from libertarian and liberal parties.

This government will be a divided government, and a weak government.

MessageMr. Speaker,

I would like to thank mrs. Rhydderch for congratulating me and my incoming cabinet.

I would like to comment on what mr. Dafis just said. I have made an alliance with RFR, PP and S where I promised them that I would make them a part of the coming cabinet in return for support at the presidential elections. They supported me and I will of course honor my commitments.

MessageMr Speaker,

we agree with the Hon. Member Dafis to a certain extent: economically, this government will not always find common ground, however with regards to civil liberties, we share the same individualist and freedom-minded attitude as opposed to the policies the conservative government has championed throughout its tenure. Rolling these back will be the main objective of this government.

It's funny that we are going to have a government that cannot agree on anything when it comes to economics while we are in the middle of a deficit crisis. But hey, who cares about economics when you can cuddle with batty men, feminist witches and wetbacks? Freaggin lunatics..

The people didn't vote our coalition out because you liberal scum are oh so swell guys. They voted our collation out because our party leader gave them a president who is a stinking liberal FAG, and I intend to change that.

Well, we already have it: even before this government has been formed they've admitted it will be a divided and weak government, not a solid one and united government that the Dranish crave.

Surely the wishes of the people should be put before secretive backroom deals?

I also dare to doubt that ex-President Solfjord is anything like a "fag" - in fact we can assume that he's run off to the most reactionary corner of Valdor with the 19.95 DRA-witch doctor where they now happily live away from all things gay.

I'm just pointing out the obvious fact that you liberal loons care nothing for the well-being of ordinary Dranish citizens. While I wouldn't use some of the colourful language of honourable Mr. Fahramar, I would concur with him in his analysis that Solfjord was quite the liberal of a president and that this has affected us in a negative way. We shall take the time to discuss this internally though, and not externally.

it is the obstructionism of the WD that failed to eliminate the deficit in the first place. It was them who insisted on slaughtering whole departments instead of moderate across-the-board-cuts. In any way, this government will tackle the deficit responsibly and put vested interests aside in doing so.

MessageMr. Speaker,

What Lady Nancy Boyce is saying is that our party is surprised and very disappointed that we have been overlooked. Our MPs have a lot to offer and we are full of fresh ideas. We made considerable breakthroughs and had a good election result yet we've been beaten into government by two extremely insignificant parties. We're rightfully unhappy.

MessageMr. Speaker,

No party in Parliament is "insignificant", every party represents a group of voters and will therefore always be of huge significance. We in Retsforbundet do however wish to co-operate with the parties in Parliament that we find it easier to co-operate with, that is one of the reasons why I have made this cabinet proposal. The other reason is that Retsforbundet has been in an alliance with 3 parties in this cabinet proposal.

MessageMr. Speaker,

It would be incredibly hypocritical if Huw Dafis and Lady Nancy Boyce would support the DCP that never has gained over 10% of the votes, while they would that the PP and S should be excluded from the government because they are "insignificant" parties due to their ranks as the second smallest and smallest parties.

MessageMr. Speaker,

So again the Retsforbundet has proven that it has put backroom deals before what the people voted for. My party has more seats than them both combined, more people wanted us to be in government than those two parties who were simply rejected in the last election.

While we agree with some of the policies of the Conservative Party their absurd position regarding dress and homosexuality means that we could not possibly associate with them.
