Bill: SD ; Formal Repeals of Obsolete Resolutions

Details

Submitted by[?]: Vonkajšíci

Status[?]: passed

Votes: This bill asks for an amendement to the Constitution. It will require two-thirds of the legislature to vote in favor. This bill will not pass any sooner than the deadline.

Voting deadline: March 3506

Description[?]:

The following resolutions are untenable under the current system of governance. While it's obvious that they've been all but ignored in the day to day governance of our nation for quite some time, we feel that it would be remiss of us not to formally and officially repeal them.

Provincial Government Uniform Standards Act

Twenty-second Amendment to the Deltarian Constitution

OOC ; All other bills recorded in the Permanent Ledger have either repeals of previous laws, have self-expired, are illegal under game laws, or have already been repealed. Once this bill passes with a 2/3 supermajority there will be no continued merit in keeping the Permanent Ledger in it's current state.

A constitutional amendment has been added to this bill simply to make it easier to tell at a glance whether it passed with a supermajority or not. It doesn't actually make any change to the national anthem.

Random fact: RP laws follow the same passing rules as in-game variable laws. Laws that are not of a constitutional nature require a simple majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. Laws that are of a constitutional nature require a 2/3 majority "Yes" vote from active parties currently holding seats. RP laws may be abolished a simple majority vote this applies to ANY RP law.
