Message | Mr Speaker, This is the wrong policy that will have dreadfully terrible consequences. National drug use will skyrocket like never before. We will see record flows of patient suffering from addiction, from overdose from the use of dangerous drugs. This has gone far beyond the debate over marijuana use and into the realm of darker and far more dangerous drugs. Cocaine, heroin, LSD all are about to be legal now while this feckless government barely bats an eyelash over it. Tell me how many families will be destroyed when 1 or both parents are addicted? What happens when they blow off the family income on their addiction instead of spending it on food or other family necessities. We are sending the wrong message that drug use is okay and that there are no consequences to the use because this government believes in the asinine argument that drugs only affect the user. They don't! They affect the family, the community and other aspects of social life. Crime will go through the roof because of these measures! Tamerlan Zhakaev Leader of the Opposition |

Message | Mr Speaker Countless studies show that not only does crime go down with legalization(Albeit those studies were mostly on solely Marijuana) but drug use does too AND poverty AND incarnation rates. We belive its not only the smart thing to do but the right thing to do. Élise Giroud |

Random fact: Did you know you can change the official name of your nation? All you need to do is draw up a new name that is in accordance with the Nation Renaming Guide, pass a bill proposing the name change with a two-thirds majority and then post a request to Moderation on the "Renaming Requests" thread. You can change city and region names in this way too. |
